This Website Shows Which Movies Are Perfect For You

Here’s the weird thing about our brains: we think that having more choice is good, but that often leads us to analysis paralysis. We spend so much effort trying to pick one of the many choices that we end up giving up and picking none thanks to indecision!

One way to solve this problem is to “sift” through and separate the quality movies from the not-so-quality ones. But that can be a time-consuming process. Wouldn’t it be awesome if there was a tool that handled all of that for you?

Well, thanks to a user on Reddit, that tool now exists.

Cinesift is an incredible website that pulls in data from IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes, Metacritic, and Letterboxd to calculate an aggregate score for each movie in their databases. Finally, a single place to get accurate film quality ratings!

You can add movies to personal lists: Watchlist, Watched, and Favorites. Or you can Discard the movies that you have no intention of watching.

But even more useful is Cinesift’s search feature, which finds the best movies for you to watch based on your preferences: genres, release years, and how much weight you give to each of the sites used in calculating the aggregate scores.

You can even filter the results based on whether you can watch said movies on Amazon Prime or Netflix (and if you enable Netflix, you can also designate which Netflix region). This is as good as it gets!

What do you think of Cinesift? What other sites do you use to help you find movies to watch? I hope this post will be usefull...!
